1997 - Michael Jackson testified in Rome that he did not steal his 1991 song "Will You Be There." Italian singer Al Bano claimed that the Jackson song was stolen from his 1987 song "Swans of Balaka."

2005 - The judge in the Michael Jackson child molestation trial delayed the jury selection process for a week due to a death Thomas Mesereau's family. Mesereau was Jackson's lead attorney.

2005 - ABC's "20/20" aired a segment in which Corey Feldman claimed that Michael Jackson showed him pornography when he was a young teenager. The interview was conducted with "20/20" correspondent Martin Bashir. Bashir's documentary "Living With Michael Jackson" sparked a child molestation investigation.

2003 - Michael Jackson requested a court injunction to block a television company from releasing unused footage filmed during the making of a documentary.

2002 - It was announced that Michael Jackson's Neverland Entertainment was investing about $20 million into MDP Worldwide Entertainment, Inc. Mark Damon, chief executive of MDP, stated that Jackson would be a producer, actor and director for Neverland Pictures.

1984 - Michael Jackson won a record eight Grammy awards connected to the album "Thriller."

1996 - The video for "Scream" was named Best Video, Short Form at the 38th Annual Grammy Awards.

2004 - In Colorado, Michael Jackson shopped at Wal-Mart while wearing a ski mask. An employee called police to report someone shopping in a ski mask causing Jackson to be stopped by police a short time later. "There were no problems, and that was it" after Jackson identified himself.

2005 - In Santa Maria, CA, opening statements began in Michael Jackson's child molestation trial.
